The Trade That Nearly Destroyed Me — And the Lesson That Built My Future

Oct 20, 2025

Most people who see someone teaching options online think, “They must have always been good at this.”

I didn’t start good. I started the hard way.

Back in 2010, I placed a massive options trade on Boeing (BA). It was a call option. I was excited, overconfident, and underprepared. On expiration Friday, I opened my account to find it was down nearly 30%.

I panicked.

I left my office that morning and just walked. I prayed. I asked G-d to help me figure it out — to guide me in this confusing, painful world of trading.

When I came back, I heard something on the radio: A Boeing plane had crashed. The stock was falling fast. I ran to my office, opened my platform, and watched blood-red candles form on the screen.

I took what little was left in my account and loaded up on same-day expiration puts — no limit order, no plan, just emotion. I tripled my money… and did it again… and again. Within minutes, my account was back to its original size.

I didn’t gain. But I didn’t lose.

That day wasn’t a success. It was a miracle, and a wake-up call.

From that moment on, I committed to never trade like that again. I became a student of options — slowly, consistently, and with discipline.

Since then, I’ve spent years learning, trading, and most importantly — teaching. I’ve helped people understand complex financial concepts in a way that makes them finally feel confident.

And now, I’m bringing that same clarity to options trading in Yiddish — so anyone in our community can learn the right way, without hype, without confusion, and without gambling.

This is just the beginning.
